Mylo the Cat

Mylo the Cat (MTC) is a popular star in videos from an internet video company called Hidden Track TV. Over the past 5 years, Mylo has continuously appeared in many viral videos, gifs, and meme-style pics, which have a combined total of over 100 Million views across the web. On Youtube, he stars alongside other popular internet animals such as his sister, Lulu the Cat, and his best friend, Barry the Dog, and “makes the alternative to all these horrendously lame animal videos that are oh so popular nowadays”. Mylo is commonly referred to as “the coolest cat on the internet”, “the angry cat” or “the rapping cat”, and is also known as “the cat that says Bitches”.

Hidden Track TV was one of the first youtube channels to become popular, reaching fame back in 2007, when their founder Adam Schleichkorn became the very first Youtuber to appear on National news and 20/20, for a video titled “Fence Plowing”. Schleichkorn also produced other early viral hits, such as “The Cheese Incident”, and “The Worst Basketball Player Ever”, both of which were Featured on Youtube’s main page.

After Hidden Track TV had been uploading videos to their youtube channel for a few months, Mylo was born on October 8th, 2006. Shortly thereafter, he made his first appearance in a video titled “Cat’s in Love”, which was uploaded on February 19, 2007 and also featured his sister, Lulu the Cat.

Mylo’s breakout role was in “Kitty Criminal,” uploaded to Hidden Track TV’s second channel on August 4th, 2008, reaching over a million views. Selected as a featured video on Youtube, It stars Mylo and his sister Lulu, as they sing along to “Criminal,” a song by Peter Toh.

In 2009 Mylo began a new series called “Mylo the Angry Cat”. After over 5 years of making videos, Mylo was “tired of seeing all these internet stars succeed, while he was still stuck eating generic brand food”. In this series, Mylo viciously attacks Popular Youtubers and all things on the web he feels are unacceptable. The series currently has 73 episodes and continues to this day.

On November 23, 2009, Mylo released a video titled “Talking Kitty!” This was Mylo’s first video to ever to appear on the first page of the “Most Viewed” on Youtube and was also posted on popular blogs such as The Tosh.0 blog, Urlesque, BuzzFeed, Unique Daily, The Daily What, and Ryan Seacrest’s Facebook page. This also happened to be Mylo’s first time on television, as it appeared on G4TV’s Attack of the Show, and Extra.

On May 17, 2011, Mylo uploaded his personal favorite, “I’m Just a Cat and I’m Doing Cat Stuff’.” It got popular very quickly and was posted on hundreds of famous blogs all over the internet, including Mashable, Metro UK, PawNation, CuteOverload, and Unique Daily. This video also made it to TV, as it aired on CBS News, FOXNews, and ABC News, as well as several morning shows.

On January 6th 2012, Mylo starred in a parody of the viral hit “Shit Girls Say”. Mylo’s version was featured on many popular websites, including The Huffington Post, and Mashable, where it was ranked #4 out of the hundreds of other Shit Girls Say parodies. While the video version made it to over 350,000 views, the real success was in the fan-made animated gif, which became super-viral when it was posted on Cheezburger, and shared on Tumblr over 200,000 times.

Adam Schleichkorn

Adam has a pretty unique story, as he was the first Youtuber to appear on National News, back in 2007 for a video titled “Fence Plowing”. He was interviewed by 20/20, FOXNews, ABC News, the NY Times, and many others, at a time where people still really couldn’t even fully grasp what Youtube actually was. That then lead him to being in one of the first groups of creators to be accepted into Youtube’s “Partner Program”. Shortly thereafter, Adam had 2 videos featured on Youtube’s main page, then an additional 15-20 featured on the category pages, and he started generating enough revenue to become a full-time Youtuber.

With a Masters in Interactive Multimedia, Adam specialized in Social Media and video editing. He is now currently responsible for over 78 Million video views across the web, 55 Million of those on Youtube (http://www.youtube.com/hiddentracktv2, http://www.youtube.com/hiddentracktv) , with a total of over 20,000 subscribers. This was not the case of a “one-hit wonder”, as he has 7 videos over a million views, and 65+ videos with over 100,000. Adam also created and currently runs a Facebook page with over 5,000 followers (http://www.facebook.com/mylothecat), as well as a Twitter account with over 3,000 (http://www.twitter.com/MTCyall), both of which are updated several times 7 days a week, and constantly growing. He’s also responsible for another 20+ Million views in funny photos and meme-style pics on sites like Tumblr, Blogger, etc.

Adam has been in the Social Media world since the Myspace days, where he ran Artie Lange’s page, as well as several other well known comedians, plus several somewhat-known indie musicians. He also created and ran successful money-making Youtube channels for The Killers of Comedy (Howard Stern Show), Yak Ballz (indie rapper with major following), plus several others.

Adam’s videos have appeared on 20/20, FOXNews, The Jimmy Kimmel Show, Good Morning America, The Tom Green Show, ABC News, CBS News, NBC News, Extra, The Maury Povich Show, UFC Countdown, Country Fried Home Videos, Bloopers, and several others.

Adam is proficient in and familiar with every possible Social Media site out there, but his main specialty is definitely Youtube. Over the years he’s maintained working relationships with many popular sites, and has landed videos on literally every single one on them, some of which could even pull in 100,000 views in a day or more (ie. Mashable, Huffington Post, Cheezburger, Tosh.0, etc.). Since he is a long-time Youtube partner, he attends monthly private meetings and has learned additional techniques directly from the source, plus gained many valuable contacts in the Youtube/Google offices, which definitely give a leg up on competition. Adam has always touted himself as a “new school” SEO guy, especially since Google purchased Youtube several years back, he stands firm that there’s no better SEO tactic than a popular video.

Today, Adam works with companies all over Long Island to create a video presence, which is the backbone to all their social media campaigns, such as:
  • The Review of Optometric Business
  • Re/Max
  • Corbett PR
  • FauxWoodBeams.com / FauxPanels.com
  • Design MYi
  • Tutti Frutti
  • Boy Scouts of America
  • Men on the Move
  • Trade Nassau
  • Bioposture
  • And Many More.
