The Cheese Incident Receives Rave Reviews at Dailymotion's Screening
Check out the ONLY video that was picked by both reviewers!!!
From theapiary.org - At a posh Union Square rooftop, New York comedians Aalap Patel and Abbi Crutchfield recently hobnobbed with the brains behind some of the Web's funniest videos at DailyMotion.com's Summer Screening Under the Stars. After watching a bevy of comedy videos and enjoying a dinner of popcorn and candy platters, the duo sent us their favorite picks.
Aalap Patel -
• Barack-Obamasistible (by Detroit Octane)
Apparently you can just add "-sistible," to any phrase, and I laugh at it. Hopefully this will help Barack the Vote. Sorry.
• The Cheese Incident (by Adam Schleichkorn and Peter Toh)
Once again, proving you don't need a plot or even some clever conceit to make me laugh -- just good cheese-throwing. It's like a Jackass prank but nicer and tastier. Plus your pets love it.
• Romano Sings (by Pete Holmes, dir. by Oren Brimer)
Pete Holmes will have a back-up career as a Ray Romano impersonator if he needs it. Once again I love the simple laughs.
Aalap says, "Keep it simple and execute the crap out of it!"
Abbi Crutchfield -
• The Tree (by John Roberts, dir. by Clay Weiner)
Long Island matriarchs have never been so accurately depicted -- if you can call tattoos, a five o'clock shadow and an ill-fitted red wig accurate.
• Dead Girls Gone Wild (by These People Comedy, dir. by Matt Cassatta)
For those who thought it impossible to top the poor taste of the notorious, low-budget videos, behold a satire that gets two (decomposing, sexy) thumbs up.
• The Cheese Incident (by Adam Schleichknorn and Peter Toh)
For all the parodies and send-ups (including a Daniel Plainview impression that still tickles me, H.W.) that were shown, I had a fondness for the original. Up with smacking people in the face with processed cheese!
Abbi says, "Original concepts make for funnier videos. But you can't deny good parodies. Pair o' deez NUTS!"

Worst Basketball Player Ever Series
One day in the summer of 2005, the best basketball game ever took place...This is that game.
This game has one classic scene after another, including a ton of stuff from James Catusco (the worst basketball player ever), Garrett Steinger, the basketball in the face guy, injuries, ejections, rejections, and much more!
Music by Peter Toh titled "Heroes".

The Ham Incident
The prequel to "The Cheese Incident", we wake up our friend by throwing a wet piece of Ham at him. This is the actual clip that lead to the idea cheese slapping, which has of course turned into a viral video sensation. This is also Dan Taft's first major role.

Two Great Write-Ups from We Wore Masks
The guys at WeWoreMasks always come through with great write-ups on every new track Peter Toh puts out, which they've done again on the latest 2 tracks "American Dream" and "Hollywood". These are both demo versions that are on Peter's Myspace Page (myspace.com/petertohmusic), and the Bears posted the write-ups within a day of each getting released! Many thanks once again to WeWoreMasks and be sure to check out their site for some great music.
From WeWoreMasks.blogspot.com -
"American Dream"
peter toh is in the building.. feel him.
our favorite ex the stryder vocalist/guitarist turned solo artist is back with a new demo called "american dream". it's a bedroom/laptop demo that's definitely got some heat and is apparently a further evolution of an earlier demo called "sweaty night". this new demo is all about the chill. mellow and engaging, toh's soulful croon in tact.
give this one a listen, add it to your myspace profile, and get ready for wildlife.. his full length album that will be dropping sooner than a girl that says yes to soon.
our boy will also be dropping the title track from his album in the next week or so, so be prepared for some next level shit. HIDDEN TRACK, HOLLER AT YOUR BEARS FOR SOME EXCLUSIVES.
"Hollywood"
toh just don't stop. our boy's back with another new demo straight off the laptop and into your ears. give this one a listen, it's a different step for him.. but i'm definitely feeling the vibe. more upbeat, more diverse, still dope. get with it.
note to labels out there: pick this album up. this dude is a workhorse with a sincerity in his music that's lacking in most of the "artists" on your collective rosters. if there's anyone you should listen to, it's we wore masks.. bears have better taste than any a&r rep out there.
