Movie Trailers - "Batman: The Dark Knight" Starring Christian Bale and Heath Ledger
Christopher Nolan revamped the Batman franchise in 2005 with the immensely successful Batman Begins, starring Christian Bale in the title role, which chronicled the early years of the superhero. Nolan first garnered attention from critics and fans in 2000 with the groundbreaking drama Memento, which he wrote and directed. He went on to direct the thriller Insomnia, starring Al Pacino and Robin Williams, and recently wrapped production on The Prestige, with Hugh Jackman and Bale.
Bale was most recently seen in the ensemble cast of Terrence Malick's The New World. His other credits include Little Women, Portrait of a Lady, Metroland, American Psycho, Laurel Canyon and Steven Spielberg's Empire of the Sun, which was his first starring role.
Ledger most recently earned Oscar, Golden Globe, BAFTA and SAG Award nominations and won the New York Film Critics Circle Award for Best Actor for his portrayal of Ennis Del Mar in the award-winning drama Brokeback Mountain. His other credits include Casanova, Monster's Ball, Lords of Dogtown, The Brothers Grimm and The Patriot.
"Chris' unique vision is what made Batman Begins such an outstanding film and we could not imagine anyone else at the helm of The Dark Knight," said Robinov. "We also can't wait to see two such formidable actors as Christian and Heath face off with each other as Batman and The Joker."
"I'm excited to continue the story we started with Batman Begins," added Nolan. "Our challenge in casting The Joker was to find an actor who is not just extraordinarily talented but fearless. Watching Heath Ledger's interpretation of this iconic character taking on Christian Bale's Batman is going to be incredible."

Top 10 Movie Villains
There's nothing like a good villain; every story needs at least one. But most movies are horrible, and there are a plethora of crappy actors out there, and some of them try to play the villain sometimes. But they can't. There's a reason why I don't consider Tom Hanks to be one of the best actors, and this is it. The guy could never be a villain. The best actors can play a great villain. It's that simple. So, without further a-blah blah:
10. The Joker (Batman) - Batman Begins was a very good movie, but the first one was the best, and the Joker is the reason why. I don't need to tout Jacky Nick's skills here too much; he's simply one of the best. Jack Nicholson just looks like the Joker, even without makeup. No one can deliver "Where does he get all those wonderful toys?" like Jack. Keep wearin' those sunglasses inside and throwing voo-doo hexes on the Lakers' opponents- you da man Jack.
9. Nurse Ratched (One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest) - Nurse Ratched is the kind of character that you actually hate by the end of the film. She is so good at being a careless, abusive bitch that you actually believe she is like this in real life. One of the all time greats, Cuckoo's nest owes just as much of it's acclaim to Nurse Ratched as it does to old Jack.
8. Max Cady (Cape Fear) - I've seen the original, and as great as it is, DeNiro just nailed this character so perfectly that I'm giving this spot to him. If there's anyone on this earth who may actually be a better actor than Jack, it's this guy right here. For anyone who thinks DeNiro lacks range, just check this remake out, along with "This Boy's Life," "Awakenings," "Men of Honor," "Taxi Driver," "Sleepers," "Angel Heart," "Brazil," and even the "Meet The Parents" movie and then come talk to me. He's not just the goomba mafia guy, which he also excels at. These are the words of the Taft.
7. Hannibal Lecter (Silence of the Lambs) - Great book character, great film character and probably the best role of Anthony Hopkins' impressive career. Lecter is pure evil, and also a brilliant mastermind who mostly wins the audiences' affections, mostly. Just writing this is making me hungry for some farber beans (probably misquoted, misspelled, or perhaps both, but so what, dick?) and a nice chianti.
6. Kaiser Soze (The Usual Suspects) - Also known as Verbal Kint in some circles, Kaiser Soze appears in the movie in a nearly mythical way, but still permeates every moment of it. Kevin Spacey made this film as great as it is, and the sheer fact that Soze decides to play this game with the police by sitting through an interrogation and making up his story on the fly is what makes the character such a great villain.
5. Norman Bates (Psycho) - Hitchcock is the man, and Norman Bates is perhaps his most complicated and brilliant character. Psycho is Alfred's masterpiece, and Bates is it's darling, with his sick obsession with his mother and his cross-dressing, murderous ways. Norman Bates will forever make people second guess the safety of the small town motels they are forced to stay at under my regime.
4. Frank Booth (Blue Velvet) - Fuck Heinekin! Pabst Blue Ribbon! No one wears a gas mask while yelling Mommy and sexually assaulting a woman better than Dennis Hopper as Frank Booth. In a lot of ways, I still see Hopper as Frank Booth. If you haven't seen this movie and you don't know who the hell David Lynch is, just turn your brain on for a couple of hours and check it out. I promise you out of all of Lynch's brilliant films you'll have the best chance of understanding this one, Adam.
3. Jack Torrance (The Shining) - Ok, so it's pretty clear that I love Jack Nicholson. What can I say? He really is one of the best. What do you get when you start with a recovering alcoholic, physically abusive character and then proceed to drive him completely insane with cabin fever and hauntings? You get Jack, my friend, or, as he liked to call himself during his crazy spells, Johnny.
2. The Wicked Witch of The West (The Wizard of Oz) - Far more villainous than her softy sister from the east, the Wicked Witch was a great original character with her own theme song. Her flying monkeys were creepy, her bicycle was creepy in the real world, and her voice and laugh are unforgettable. In a film that was way ahead of it's time, the Wicked Witch held shit down. Words of the Taft figure.
1. Darth Vader (Star Wars, the originals, not the crappy new ones) - Fools like Chief Sneed, aka the beast, might call this a safe choice and guess my age to be around 9. Well guess what Chiefy, deal with it, because DV belongs at the top spot. Star Wars was an original film and Darth Vader was the best character in it- his costume is cool, his swagger is bad, and he will choke your gift wrappin' ass with only his mind- now that's a villain!
10. The Joker (Batman) - Batman Begins was a very good movie, but the first one was the best, and the Joker is the reason why. I don't need to tout Jacky Nick's skills here too much; he's simply one of the best. Jack Nicholson just looks like the Joker, even without makeup. He Heads Home...Nailed at the Plate!
From the NY Post: New York University held their graduation at Yankee Stadium this year, with 6,000 students, and over 20,000 family members in attendance. Sounds like a great spot to hold graduation, but there was one catch - "The students had been repeatedly advised . . . that they were strictly prohibited from being on the field," said NYU spokesman John Beckman.
So out of 6,000 jerk-off students, what were the odds that one would try to get on the field? 2 to 1? Even Money? Well what do you know, 21 year old student William Lopez, of Long Island(of course) didn't follow the rules. In full graduation gown, he jumped out of the stands in right field, and sprinted all the way across the outfield towards second base. He then rounded second, and sprinted towards third base, with the 26,000 plus in the stands cheering him on. I guess the third base coach gave him the call to go home, so he rounded third, and headed for the plate.
"I was trying to make it to home plate," Lopez told The Post after he was issued a summons for trespass. "I wanted to do a head-first dive." Just when he thought he was going to make it, he was stopped 10 feet away from the plate, by security and NYPD tackling him to the ground. He received a summons for trespassing, and was told that he ruined the graduation, but in actuality, I'm sure running around the bases at a packed Yankee Stadium made it all worth it!
The funniest part about this entire story, is the quote from his father in the Post - Lopez's father, Bob Lopez, said when he saw the figure running on the field, "My wife asked, 'Could that be William?' I said, 'No. That kid's an athlete."

PAWS Web Radio Presents Jackie Martling
Just to solidify Howard Stern's theory that Jackie "The Jokeman" Martling will agree to do anything except the Stern Show, here he is on PAWS Web Radio, which is a college radio station at Adelphi on Long Island. This wasn't even for their regular radio station, it was a straight to the web release, just like his movies, oh!
This clip is hilarious, but for all the reasons that Jackie wouldn't want it to be. Of course, he starts plugging away the second he gets in there, but what's really great is when he starts relentlessly ball-busting these college kids, over pretty much nothing at all. He was also plugging "The Wackness", a movie that he is hosting the screening of at Roosevelt Field Mall. When asked what he had to do with it, he said that he saw it a Sundance, and couldn't stop laughing. Insert Jackie guffaw here.

Top 14 Seinfeld Characters of All Time, But Particularly Of the Time Between 1989 and 1998
I know, I know. What the hell is going on here with a Top 14 list? Well, Seinfeld is a show where it is genuinely difficult to limit the great characters to only 10. And I know, all of my lists that have been top 10s excluded many great things of those corresponding genres which could have, and in your measly opinion, should have been included in a top 14 type list. Why couldn’t I expand my previous lists to include additional worthy participants? Hmmmm? Because I didn’t feel like it until just now, so deal with it, buddy.
14. Jackie Chiles - Why did Kramer put the balm on? Did Jacky tell him to put the balm on? No, he certainly did not. Great moment in either the second to last or the final episode when Jackie is in bed with Terri Hatcher, banging out Jerry’s old girl while he’s about to be imprisoned. Classic.
13. Elaine - She pushes her friends very hard when excited, and she’s extremely hot when hosed down by a local shop owner. Elaine can’t dance for shit but she can write the hell out of a clothing ad. Jerry should have never let her slip through his fingers.
12. Bania - Bania is an extremely annoying, crappy comedian who hounds Jerry for what he perceives as his unused jokes. Coined the term “That’s gold!” and also has been working out and is now huge.
11. David Puddy - Puddy is a germaphobe. He wears a chain around his neck with a tiny medallion. It’s a germ. He loves the New Jersey Devils and it was absolutely great when he tried to screw Jerry while selling him a car because he was mad at Elaine. Their whole relationship was hilarious on every level.
10. Mr. Pitt - Creator of Moland Spring water, Mr. Pitt hates when socks aren’t elastic enough and he hired Elaine on a whim because he thought she looked like Jackie O. Elaine had some great bosses, but none that controlled her life with as tight a grip as Mr. Pitt.
9. Jerry - Great in his own right, yet he is far from the best character on his own show. A little too jokey at times, but, then again, he is a comedian. Great episode when George made Jerry be serious so his girlfriend wouldn’t think Jerry was too funny and like him better than George.
8. J. Peterman - Awesome voice and awesome character. The best is when Peterman is writing his memoirs and he tells Elaine to feel free to throw herself into the mix regarding his sexual liaisons. Also love it when he thinks Elaine is on Opium and he slams Kramer with the office door.
7. George Steinbrenner - Larry David is obviously one of my heroes. Making Steinbrenner into this laughable kook who doesn’t know his ass from his elbow, and yet is still quick enough to point out George’s inclination for “empty calories and male curiosity” is pure genius.
6. Kramer - The show would have not been the same without him. He’s got the kvorka for sure. From swimming in the East River to turning his apartment into a late night show, Kramer was the main source of a lot of the comedy oozing out of Seinfeld. Too bad this is the last good gig Michael Richards will ever get.
5. Morty Seinfeld - The old Jewish Papa down in Florida, Morty was once a great businessman who now cannot get through a meeting if it’s after 2 P.M. Loves to receive gifts that fall off the back of trucks.
4. George - Any character modeled after Larry David himself is already ahead of the competition. Jason Alexander really learned how to play this self-loathing, insecure character to perfection over the years. He started the character as a cheap Woody Allen impersonator, and evolved into one of the greatest sitcom characters ever. Horrible actor in pretty much everything else he attempts to do, though.
3. Newman - The Lex Luther to Jerry’s Superman, Newman began as just Larry David’s voice, looking to hurl himself off the top of their apartment building. But he became so much more- Newman is pure evil, and I love every minute that he appears on set.
2. Uncle Leo - Grimy, slimy, and just overall disgusting, Uncle Leo is an unparalleled character who is underhanded at all times. He loves to pull Jerry in close by his arm and speak way too closely to him, and he will never admit to any wrong doing. Everyone has someone in their family like Uncle Leo- you can’t stand him but you have to appreciate the extremity of his character.
1. Frank Costanza - Creator of the holiday “Festivus”, Frank once had an affair with a fat Korean lady whose father was quoted as saying about Frank, but in Korean as Frank translates: “This guy, this is not my kind of guy.” Priceless.
Classic.

Classic Music Videos - "The Love Song" by Da Bush Babees ft. Mos Def
"The Love Song" by Da Bush Babees ft. Mos Def (Please don't confuse this with DT's "Love Song"). Who even knew that there was a video for this track? The album "Gravity" by Da Bush Babees wasn't even thought about on Dan Taft's Top 10 List, but it definitely at least deserves a consideration. This album is a must buy for any Mos Def fan, as he's on 4 tracks, but also a must buy for any fan of real hip-hop. Mos Def starts the album off by giving the many definitions of "Gravity" but left out, classic hip-hop album.

Charles Barkley and Nirvana Saturday Night Live Promo
A rare clip of Charles Barkley and Nirvana cutting a promo for their appearance on Saturday Night Live. I don't know how they got this clip, but the majority of it is non-aired set-ups, and sheer awkwardness. Dave Grohl and Kurt Cobain's faces are priceless, and I can't believe Krist Novoselic is actually taller than Sir Charles!

Classic Music Videos - "John Blaze" by Fat Joe ft. Nas, Big Pun, Jadakiss and Raekwon
"John Blaze" by Fat Joe ft. Nas, Big Pun, Jadakiss and Raekwon. This video only has 1800 views on Youtube, while millions are "leaning back". It's really tough to remember Fat Joe as a good rapper, but there definitely was a time back many years/albums ago. A Method Man sample as the hook would never happen nowadays, and it's a shame. I'd say a lot of damn things changed.

The State - "Great Tacos Jake"
From Episode 308 of The State on MTV. Featuring Kevin Allison and Michael Ian Black. The local mailman prefers to deliver fresh tacos rather than the mail. This is yet another example at how good this show really was. Where else have you ever seen a premise like this one? Every sketch was a mix of extreme originality, and brilliant hilarity. The State was such a cult hit, that people to this day act like it is "their show" and no one else is allowed to watch it. Like I mentioned in a post a few weeks back, the entire first season is available on MTV.com for free streaming! At least MTV got one thing right. This very site (HiddenTrackTV.com) pretty much already has a better library of music videos than they do, which you can conveniently access by clicking "Classic Music Videos" in the Sidebar, or by clicking HERE. This section, which is updated daily, features music videos from all genres, that you actually want to see. Most of these never even saw the light of day due to the nonsense and politics between record labels, and MTV. So again, yea, I said it, better selection than MTV!

Historic Moments in Film - Tommy Boy
"Richard, is there a mark on my face?" It's so hard to settle on one scene from a film that's this historic, but this is one of it's clear cut pinnacle moments. This is the scene right after the two stars fight on the side of the road, and they go to the diner to eat. Tommy explains to the waitress why he sucks at sales, and unknowingly exposes his true potential to Richard. There's really not one un-funny scene in this entire movie though, as this was by the best performance from David Spade, and the late great Chris Farley. Forget about what Dan Taft says in his Top 10 Lists, this has to be in the top 3 funniest movies of all-time. "I'm like Jojo the idiot circus boy, with a pretty new pet". Genius.

I've heard about this website being in the works for a while now, but I just checked it out for the first time yesterday, and I absolutely recommend it 100%. Hulu.com is the brainchild of NBC and FOX, created to take a shot at Youtube's title. Like most people, I originally was foolish enough to think that Youtube would be the top video site forever, but now with Hulu, I feel as if I'm witnessing the future of web video. All I know is, this site first went live only 2 months ago, and they already have an impressive library, including FULL EPISODES AND SEASONS of current shows like "The Simpsons", "Heroes", and "Family Guy". To top it off, they are evn including a bunch of old shows, such as "Arrested Development", "Married With Children", and "Son of the Beach", along with plenty of the TV Land Classics. They are constantly going to be adding new shows, and full-length movies as well. I give this site 2 enthusiastic thumbs up, and it really seems like this is going to be the next big thing, so remember where you heard it first! TV is becoming more and more obsolete every day, and if I was a cable company, I'd be scrambling right now!
